For
a brief time while I was doing "Sinking Ship" and attending Shippensburg
University, I was discussing the possibility with the town newspaper of doing
a comic strip. Part of the deal, however, was that I write news stories, too (i
was a Journalism major, and today work in TV news) However, when they told me
to revise stuff, I informed them that I wasn't there for homework. Suffice to
say, that was the end of that, and my proposal for a comic, "Simon and Bingo"
never made it off the drawing board.
