What can
I say, other thanSinking Ship kicked off it's second year with a bang! Although
it didn't start out that way. While most of the strips for the first year had
been done during the summer of 1999, I now found that if I wanted to continue
Sinking Ship, I would have to do so on a weekly basis. Well, I was in charge of
SUTV, the campus TV station, I was working (..oh yeah, I had classes, too) In
the end, I thought Sinking Ship would just be an occasional feature. Well, that
all changed the first week. The panel was a parody of a ridiculous ad the University
put out, which was based on a student survey which allegedly found students didn't
drink very much. Well, that just had to be lampooned. And the response was phenomenal.
I had never gotten much of a response from the student body before, but now people
were stopping me on campus, telling me how much they loved the panel. From that
moment on I was hooked. Sinking Ship survived.
